    Cost of B&W home development

If you use stand development with Rodinal I think the cost works out at about 7p per roll of 120 for developer and probably about the same for fixer.

No, it was quite easy really. This was my setup (please forgive digital image)... I used the folded piece of paper as a guide so I knew where to place the negative and get it straight. The ANR glass is from a betterscanning.com holder. Scan once, then flip the negative around and scan again...

Show us yer film shots then!

I've decided to have a go at 4x5, or is it 5x4, I'm never quite sure which way round it should be - if indeed there is a 'right' way. So I bought a Crown Graphic on Ebay, some film holders and a couple of packs of film. It's all been quite a steep learning curve, figuring out how to load the...

Great shots, Dave. I'll go along with the crowd and say that the first is my favourite too.

    Another colour developing question...

That's similar to the one I use for C41 and E6 so I think you should be fine with that. It's a good idea to have 2 thermometers as you're often wanting to test the temperature of different things at the same time, chemical in the bottle, water running out of the tap etc. So I'd say the only...

    2nd hand dedicated 35mm scanners

Many people rave about the Pakon scanners. Hard to get in the UK though. They're about £200 including shipping: http://www.aaaimaging.com/kodak-pakon-f135-film-scanner.html You might have duty and VAT on top of that, though. Also, they only work on PCs with Windows XP, which might well be a...

Love the dog shots. Is that a splint on his leg?

    Waist level finder brightness

I was going to send mine to Brian for a CLA ages ago but never got round to it. I was thinking of possibly buying a Rick Oleson screen and getting Brian to fit it while he was at it. Handy that he had one available for yours - wonder if he's got any more lying around?!

    Waist level finder brightness

Possibly not too bad if it's all in good nick. I didn't pay much attention to the Hasselblads when I was in the shop to be honest as I already have two! I've just put my 500C/M in the Classifieds section, but it's a well worn example so might not compare to the Camera Centre one.

    Waist level finder brightness

I haven't tried a Bronica, but I would imagine that would also blow away your Yashicamat. I have a Kowa Super 66 and my Hasselblad is a bit brighter with its Acute Matte Screen, but not by much. The Hasselblad is much brighter than my Rolleicord, though. Be careful of prices in the Camera...

Thanks Steve, I have a Hitech red filter used in a Cokin holder, but my ND grads are cheapies, the kind that you virtually get for free when you buy a 'Cokin' holder and adapter ring set on Ebay. Hopeless for colour shots, but great for B&W. :) Keep meaning to buy some decent ND grads so I can...

Show us yer film shots then!

After developing 4 rolls of Velvia this week (which you'll probably see more of in due course!) it was the turn of a roll of Acros last night. I was experimenting with ND grads and red filter on this roll. This one was probably a bit overkill with a 3 stop ND grad and red filter but I still...
