Numerous SD cards. It's a LR issue or a catalogue issue, I just can't figure out what yet.

I don't format it as much as I should. I've tried moving them to desktop and importing that's why I don't believe it's a formatting issue. I installed an SSD drive last weekend however it was working normally afterwards for several days.

CS6 has no problem importing from the same card. I've also tried multiple SD cards. Just been using the standard method of open LR and hit import and use the SD as the source. This keeps happening every 4 or 5 months, very frustrating. I'll try the cable thanks for the tip. If anyone else has...

I've the 24-105 also and the only advantage I can see is the reach. The sharpness of the 24-70 is just so perfect, the clarity, the vibrance of colour... the 24-105 is a great all round lens but for those wow shots with huge detail - 24-70. It's quite a bit cheaper if you go the grey import...

I got a Canon 24-70 2.8 II last week and my simple message would be - keep saving! You'll only regret not waiting, I am just in awe of the quality of it. Beautiful, beautiful lens. I lusted after it for months so I know the feeling you have of just wanting to upgrade but it's worth it.

My Canon 2.8 24-70 II just arrived! :banana: Santa came a day or two early... wide open, no changes in LR, no flash, only light is from down lighters in the kitchen. Focused on the orange tips at 2.8 with iso 640.

No I wasn't complaining about lack of sharpness. I think starting the post by excusing the lack of sharpness would hint at that. I simply wanted to post what the lens was like wide open.

Shot wide open so even the edges of the bauble are not too sharp but lovely bokeh!

This is the part of Macs that I just detest! Doing something simple like this is just so frustrating. Option key is doing nothing, tried finding this file in the finder, spotlight, nothing is working right. Thanks for your help though, it's not you, it's me! :rolleyes:
