    Broken shoe

Hi, I would advise that you do not open up a flash unless you know what you are doing - they have capacitors inside which hold charge. They are very capable of causing serious injury or worse.

    Celtic Vision

Hi, they are a real shop - they have a small shop in Narberth. I haven't been there recently, but I did buy a new SB800 from there a few years ago. It's probably best to ring and see if they've got it in stock - I found the owner of the shop to be good to deal with as well.

    Mobile Internet dongles for laptops.

Three also do a MIFI device on PAYG. It's £50 for the MIFI upfront, then the PAYG topups on top. You can connect up to five WIFI devices (laptop, ipod touch etc) at the same time.

    lens fungus

I live on the West Wales coast and this has been a reccurring problem for me in the past. Storing a lens in a camera bag over the cold and damp winter months without much ventilation will pretty much guarantee fungus in this part of the country. I would separate your remaining lenses that...

    Nikon Software

Nikon has just released View NX2 which now has some basic edit functions (crop, straighten, exposure adjustment, white balance adjustment on RAW files etc..). It's not as advanced as CaptureNX2, but ViewNX2 is free and appears to be an vast improvement on the old version...

    3G Dongles/Mobile Broadband

That's great -thanks. I was just a bit confused from reading the following on 3's help pages: ''How long are top-ups valid for? There's no expiry date for Top-ups. Add-ons stay active for 30 days from the date you buy them. '' I guess an ''add-on'' is something you buy if you are on a pay...

    3G Dongles/Mobile Broadband

This may be a really stupid question, but do 3's pay-as-you-go top ups for MIFI and mobile broadband dongles only last for one month or do they last indefinitely until you've used the top up data allowance (I think they do 1GB, 3GB and 7GB top ups)?

selling prints at a boot fair

I thought about doing this a few years ago, but quickly came to the conclusion that if I was at a boot sale, my time would be better spent buying other people's stuff and selling it on (ebay etc). I've spoken to two different sellers at my local boot sale this year who said they hadn't had...

I've got some shots taken around Tenby harbour and South Pembrokeshire here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/rweidemann/ If you can get transport to the west of Tenby, Broadhaven (South Pembs) beach, St Govan's Chapel, Barafundle Bay, Carew Castle and Stack Rocks (on the Castlemartin range)...

    Panasonic LUMIX LX3

the LX5 (the LX3 replacement) is due out very shortly. The rumours site '43 rumors' has pictures and specs of it. On the other hand LX3 prices are relatively low at the moment. Also, some more info here...

Doesn't do anything for me photos

Sunsets - they are great to see in person, but I can't stand sunset photographs.

    Cameras in Space

Just a heads up to let everyone know that the latest Nikonians Image Doctors podcast (number 119) features an astronaught who went on one of the recent spce shuttle missions to the international space station. He talks about photography and photo equipment on the shuttle. I'm half way though...

Can anyone recommend an online printer?

I've had huge consistency problems with photobox. I had an A4 print printed (amongst other prints) a year ago which I was very happy with. I tryed to get the same jpeg file printed again in the same size six months later and they couldn't duplicate the results. They offered to reprint the print...
