OFFICIAL I HAVE A NEW (FILM RELATED) TOY THREAD!!

Picked one of these up off the bay a few days ago. Can't test it out as my only Nikkon fitting lens is on my F301 at the moment which is mid-roll, oops. Seems in pretty good condition, though, so I'd imagine it's all A OK! I bought it to try out a few of the functions which my 301 doesn't...

First film camera in nearly 20 years

Despite having shot quite a few rolls now I'd find this really handy too, especially if it had information about scanning and dev'ing, what being most cost effective and the pros/cons of Boots/Asda/Snappy Snaps vs Home scanning etc as I've got to the point where I want to shoot film, but £8.50...

Hi Asha, thanks a lot :). I'll attempt to try and pick favourite from the bunch or just ask someone else to select one and I'll pop it in . By Green Lanes, do you mean trodden pathways? More like this? 02280007 by mlesplmer, on Flickr I didn't find any sort of overgrown...

    Pro lab vs Boots developing

I think some of them are franchises and do vary the prices and other bits and bobs. I think the one I used yesterday was in an area that they can get away with those prices too so that probably explains it. I can't complain at the quality though, they are usually pretty good.

    Pro lab vs Boots developing

Which branch was this? I've found varying prices with them in London at the two I've used.

    Pro lab vs Boots developing

A painful price here in London. £8.50 to CD, think it's £5 for just the dev.

Show us yer film shots then!

Thanks Steve, it's part of a project that I'm currently doing about looking up more and seeing the things we often miss by trudging along looking down. I didn't know that, I'll check the thread now.. Although I'll never be able to pick a shot!

Show us yer film shots then!

Bit nervous posting these, not very long dabbling in film at all but hey ho! A few taken yesterday in Oxshott woods, stunning place. It's pretty mad how close it is to London, think I'll be there very regularly now... The rest of the hit & miss set is here (no crops on anything etc, just as...

    just using a 50mm 1.8

Personally for me when I was first starting out I just AF absolutely everything and didn't really grasp or pay attention to what was going on. Having spent a while manually focusing I felt more in control and able to identify what I was doing with the camera, it generally made me feel more...

Building a web site advice please.

I would also agree with mrjames, but I didn't want to be *too* critical and full on straight away. What you are trying to achieve is very simple and can be done quite easily in a nice clean and minimal style.

Kate Middleton topless photos: with camera phones and drone technology, soon no one w

Yep, legal action has been launched they've said. Closers reaction was: It'll be interesting to see how it develops, I don't think personally I'd be entirely comfortable snapping the shots and selling them onto a magazine, even if it wasn't 'the royals'.

Hadn't seen that lencarta site before, came into this thread looking for some product photography tips too and there are some fantastic tutorials on there. Cheers for the link :)

I'm not entirely sure that I can help with your issue, however heres a fantastic slider option that is incredibly easy to customise and use - http://slidesjs.com/ It looks great and can be customised really easily, you can set it to auto play etc, stop playing when the mouse is on it, manually...
