    R5 mk2

I moved from. Canon 5D MkII to the R5 and love it. You have to spend some time getting bused to the menus and options which are not radically different but technology has moved on (positively) Love the MP and auto focus/tracking. No issues with size. You will have to factor in the change...

I don’t think it has changed in function? It was always 10s or 30s and these have just been renamed to Auto and Max for some reason.

    Music Streamers

My take is that the Argon will give you a dedicated unit but apart from the DAB radio you’ll still need to stream via a phone/tablet so unless I was hooking it up to an existing HiFi set up I’m not sure it will add more? Have you tried streaming to your active speakers as I would think they...

Why are people buying electric cars?

Not all EV drivers are wealthy and I would counter that the incentive is to encourage a shift to a relatively new technology that has negative aspects as well as positive. It has always been thus that you incentivise change/behaviours. Not just limited to EVs but think Job Seeker allowance...

Why are people buying electric cars?

You are definitely anti-EV aren't you!? I am more than happy to pay my fair share of tax as I have done all my working life. If the government of the day changes the rate of tax in any area then, yes, I'll pay it. The fundamental here is that the tax on ICE cars has not increased (if you...

Why are people buying electric cars?

This isn't the elephant in the room as you call it. The issue is how governments choose to raise taxes from all sources. Charging at home is more about convenience for me and not putting profit in a suppliers pocket unnecessarily. Public chargers do have VAT at 20% compared to home charging at...

Why are people buying electric cars?

It’s the equivlent of filling up at the motorway service station but with membership of schemes such as Ionity, Gridserve, Octopus Electroverse will all get decent discounts. The big win with EVs is charging at home. As Jonathan says, you have to look at it over a longer period. Whats the...

Why are people buying electric cars?

I have owned an EV for just over a year. Bought just under one year old and therefore saved a decent amount compared to new. It is a lovely car, great to drive and economical to run. Interestingly, the ICE cars that I was also looking at were more expensive! I think if people want to carry...

    Case Lights Not Working.

Perhaps there is a broken solder joint or connection. I have seen this before whereby it isn’t obvious but a crack in a solder joint. When the temperature is higher there is potentially some expansion joining two parts of the broken circuit or sufficient surface area to allow current to flow.

    Canon EOS R Series Cameras

@A_S I have the EF100-400 and an R5. I find the autofocus acceptable but I’m not a prolific wildlife or sports shooter so my needs are probably different. I’ve not had any issues with it and if you’re coupling with an R5/R6 I’d say you would be fine unless the scenario is super fast moving...
