Thanks Richard - appreciate the reply.
On point 2 - would it help to use a longer shutter speed? current settings are f11 640ISO 1/15sec.
Also - in soe places I have read it is better to use apertures wider than f3.5 and others say to use f8 or f11 for sharpness. What is your thoughts on that?
I had my first attempt at product photography in a 80cm light tent. Apart from the phone being a bit dirty I have the following questions:
1. the bottom of the phone seems lighter than the top
2. the screen as gone all stripy - how do you take a nice crisp shot of the screen without the...
Hi all
Thanks for checking in on this. I just noticed that I can see it on my 7D as well - although not as obvious. I must have been looking through the viewfinder funnily.
Phew - I feel so much better now :) Let the photographing begin
I got it from Kerso - just sent him an email to ask about it. Really gutted as the Jubilee weekend in London is the perfect weekend to take the new camera for a spin :(
Yes - it is the same as the VF image - just a lot smaller and darker - just below the actual VF image. It is almost as if I can see the mirror, if that is at all possible??
I have (probably a silly) question: when I look through my viewfinder I can see a smaller second view at the bottom below the proper view finder. Is this normal?? I really have to position my eye very carefully not to see it - and I find it quite distracting to be honest :(
The big day is here and I picked up my MK III this morning - thanks Kerso!
I took a few shots in the house before having to leave for work. I did not own the MK II and have upgraded now from the 7D. I love the soft touch wheel - however when the shutter releases it is quite noisy and sounds...
Hi guys and girls,
I am in a bit of a catastrophe. I use a Canon 7D with a 24 - 105mm L lens as standard. I normally carry it around in a Lowepro slingshot bag which is absolutely fantastic.
I am however leaving on a hiking trip (the Inca Trail - a photographer's paradise) end of the week...
Hashcake - indeed I meant the 7D - it was a long day yesterday so sorry for that haha.
Thanks so much for all your comments and tips. I am currently experiencing some problems with my current 18 - 200m lens (especially with the autofocus) and some image quality due to the optic compensation...
Hi Les - great review and extremely helpful thanks! I am about to upgrade from the EOS 400D and was contemplating the 7D - but now I am even more excited.
Hopefully I'll be able to use it to its full potential.
Great shot as well BTW!
