@Nod I don't recall seeing one on either the screen or evf although I've not worked out how to get grid lines overlaid yet as I start reading manual but then just start shooting!

One from the garden, this morning. The area is quite good for dog walking, although I do find Bramcote is very easy due to decent parking and large space so not over crowded. Attenborough Lakes are always a little too busy although swimming is the easiest way to actually wear out a springer...

What a small world! We only discovered Bramcote about two months ago (having lived in Chilwell for 30 months), now we try to get there on Saturday and Sundays to walk the pooch (soon to be pooches).

I've had a little play with my X30, mainly trying to get used to the menu and settings. Really super impressed with what I've seen so far especially the low light performance.

Will do, but I'll warn you, there'll probably be a number of dog photos!

And out of the blue I've had a despatch notification email this evening and the camera should be with me tomorrow!
