Having tried the 24-105 I agree its a superb lens but for now out of my price range. I spied a 2nd hand sigma 17-70 f2.8 and having tried it went for that -it will keep me happy as I head for Peru this summer. Thanks for all the really helpful suggestions Bev

Hi I am a keen walker who is just getting into digital SLR photography. I want to buy a lens which will cover most stuations when ut walking as I've found changing lens's on the hoof not ideal. suggestions?? Budget around £300 thanks Bev
