Last year I took a D7200 with an Tamron 17-50mm and my GF took her D3300 with Nikon 18-140mm and at no time did we feel we needed more. We was touring America but in NYC for 12 days, in the end we just took the D3300 out as wanted a rest from the extra weight of a D7200.
I've had nothing but fantastic results buying grey imports from eBay, I have brought camera body's and a number of lens all of which have been perfect through out the 2 years I have had them. Yes it is a gamble but one worth taking in my eyes. (Bet it all goes wrong tomorrow now).
I've now got a D7200 but my partner has my old D3300, I still nick it off her from time to time, its so small and light and with the 35mm it takes cracking shots. Just takes a little longer to dial in the settings.
Fantastic, I have a cheap one at the moment that also is very heavy. Almost so heavy I don't bother packing it when I got over seas. I come to realize I can't use this cheap one any longer when the head just wouldn't stay in place as the plastic was bendy.
Hi,
I have been looking at the above tripod both on here and on Amazon and the reviews seem pretty positive. I use a D7200 with the biggest lens being a Nikon 55-700mm. I do an awful lot of traveling and the time has come to take a decent tripod with me. I've seen it on WEX for only £79.99...
I have and love the 18-140mm and up until last week it was my walk around lens, I've now gone for a Tamron 17-50 F2.8 and the IQ in my opinion is noticeably better and I was surprised how much better suited to me that extra 1mm from 18mm made.. I also brought a Nikon 55-300 VR for the rare times...
I look back on the Panasonic DMC-L1 with its kit 2.8 Lumix/Leica lens with manual aperture ring very fondly. I won't ever sell it. (In fact you can see it in the photo above my name despite now owning a D7200 with lens that are worth far more then the old boy)
