So, it's a bit old hat compared to what you lot are rocking, but I picked up a very clean z6 for £450 and threw a Nikon 40/2 on it. Seems a nice combo. Only problem is, coming from a Fuji X-T2 and Sony a7s, everything seems to rotate the other way

Sorry, nothing special to share yet, but I've tested my new Viltrox Air trio (25/1.7, 35/1.7 and 56/1.7) and...wow. Absolutely incredible performance for the money. Not only are they super sharp wide open, but they render well and are cheap as chips! No idea how they would hold up for a pro, but...

Great comparison, thank you, mind has been put at rest. I've always enjoyed the XF 35/1.4, but it doesn't touch my favourite ever 50 fov lens for character - C/Y Zeiss Planar 50/1.4 on FF wins every time for me, even if it's significantly weaker wide open. Looking forward to trying these new...

If you don't need improved AF and DR, how about another 6D and an extra lens? I used to love my 6D, only swapped to Fuji because I needed lighter weight / smaller kit when out with the kids. IQ was amazing. If not, 5D Mk 4!

Haven't been shooting for a while, but fancied a 35ish equivalent. Picked up a Viltrox 25/1.7 for around £100 from AliExpress and it's really good. No CA like the older lenses and it's a nice compact size. Grabbed the 56/1.7 and 35/1.7 while on sale last night for a combined £181 after top...

I'd go for a Canon EOS 5D, 5D II or 6D to get the intended fov from those old lenses! You could then rock M42, K mount, Olympus and Contaxt / Yashica lenses with ease :)

Indeed, the photos don't really do it justice either, but I'm very impressed. Will get out with it this week for testing. It was a toss up between the 23/2 WR and the Fuji X100F - this one took me by surprise. It does however tick all the boxes - fast, fast AF, cheap :D Fingers crossed it...

Sorry I was referring to the AF. It's pretty clunky on the 23/1.4. I never really liked the balance of it either, but the Fujinon probably has the edge IQ wise over the Viltrox across the frame.
