Hi, i was looking ast getting a 50D but i've been offered quite a reasonable deal for a 40D with a good telephoto lens. I would kike to know what the pro's or cons are of a 40d against a 50d or whether the 50d is worth that bit extra.

would you recommend a 650d ahead of a 50d for sports photography tho.

Thanks for all the answers its very much appreciated, i was set on blowing my budget on a grey import 7d but now i've got more thinking to do. Looks like i'd be better spending money on glass and getting a 50d.
