Photography waistcoat - ridiculous or not?

The right tool for the right job. Yes a toggers coat is a tool to hold your tools. If you are worried about what people think go get an Armani suit jacket and scissor the sleeves off. :naughty:

    How do I do it?

Yes correct. Whilst DPP and your PS like programs are useful for getting the most out of an image and/or arty'fying it as well as rescuing an image, the skill of the photographer is where it is at and this is another lesson you have learned to improve camera skills.

    Tripod hand grip strap

The strap I use has a plate for attachment to the 1/4" mount on the camera with a 1/4" mount on the bottom of it. I put a quick release plate on that so it isn't an issue. You can get them with or without. This is it -...

    Tripod hand grip strap

I use a hand strap all the time on my SX50. When I upgrade to a DSLR I will be getting another for that. They are very secure, convenient and comfortable. The cheapo one I bought from ebay can certainly handle the weight of the SX50 and I would be happy to try it with a DSLR + tele zoom. It is...
