    It's here!!!!

Well, my 100mm f/2.8 macro arrived today. Now what do I do  Seriously, this may sound very dumb but when attempting to take shots do you treat the camera the same as you would with a normal lens with regards your settings and so forth? Sorry for being a dunce!!! :help:

Bonus and CANON EF 100mm F2.8 USM Macro

Simon, thank you for that. That is such a great shot even if it is one of the things that scares me most in life!! Brilliant. As for the lens well I continue my quest to find it cheaper than £300 seeing as the one I was looking at was indeed not the one I wanted :bang: thank you again to those...

Bonus and CANON EF 100mm F2.8 USM Macro

Sorry guys I kind of hijacked my own thread with the whole zoom question:naughty: It's not that I want a "better" zoom it's just I was at Lords on Monday and my 55-250mm just wasn't long enough to get into the middle clearly and sharply! Anyway back to the original question I reckon I'll go with...

Bonus and CANON EF 100mm F2.8 USM Macro

Okay, recently I was asking for advice about if I should get a macro lens or go with extension tubes. Well, I have just received a bonus from work and have found the above lens at a good price of £265. What do you reckon? Go for it or still go with tubes? Is it a good lens for a starter in macro...

Tamron 55-200mm f4.0-5.6 Di II LD Macro Lens? Any good?

Yeah, still confused  anyway, I may look into asking Phil s about the Jessops ones, thanks for that. Thanks again for your advice. I think I will get the 50mm as it's decent price wise and it'll not be too expensive shoud I decide I'm no good at Macro!!! It's just a case of figuring...

Tamron 55-200mm f4.0-5.6 Di II LD Macro Lens? Any good?

Okay, I have definitely decided to go with Kenko tubes and someone advised me to get a Canon EF 50mm F/1.8 to use with them. Dos this seem like good advice? It's certainly do-able when it comes to pricing.

Tamron 55-200mm f4.0-5.6 Di II LD Macro Lens? Any good?

Okay, thanks all for the advice. Mr Gubby, cracking shot!! I don't however have the four or five hundred pounds for that lens so I may just have to go for the Kenko. Thanks again  (still confused though);)

Tamron 55-200mm f4.0-5.6 Di II LD Macro Lens? Any good?

I am wanting to start taking macro shots however with pretty much being a beginner I am not too sure what I should be looking at and also I don't want to be going spending a huge amount of money on one to find that either I don't like it or I'm just no good at it. I have found the Tamron...
