    I have been going every evening over the past seven days to watch and photograph the starling murmurations at Barnsdale Hill on the edge of Rutland Water in Rutland. Being a regular i get asked various questions about them. But i am not an expert at all when it comes to birds or bird photography...

    Well these are not exactly "Hidden Treasures" but in north east Northamptonshire you could check out Geddington, with the Eleanor Cross and also Boughton House on the edge of the village. Also Kirby Hall and Deene Park are close together and Rockingham Castle and Lyveden New Bield are all well...

    hi Michelle, i'm originally from Kirton-in-Lindsey and the windmill there is quite striking on top of the hillside and you may find some nice mature parkland trees at Scawby Park in their autumn glory at the moment!.....There's always Twigmoor Woods and Scotter Common as well!! Regards Andy
