Why not give it a bit of time and see if any more go. 99.9991 % is 100% in most peoples' books. 4 dead pixels wouldn't worry me, however 40 or 400 in 2 weeks time might!

Thats what I thought, didn't think there was any mechanical shutter in anything other than slrs generally speaking. My bridge camera goes down to 1/10000 of a second which seems faster than most slrs, which I put down to the fact its just an electronic sensor sample rather than a mechanical...
Fair enough, hadn't noticed that to be honest. I just find comments like "Excellent" and "Nice one" laughable. Its not a good photo in any particular way, maybe ok as a startpoint for some c&c / advice etc.:suspect:
I agree. The rule of thirds is an interesting subject but its been over ridden in this case by the strange colours and the partially cropped boat at the bottom of one photo. Just my two penneth, its a public forum, you should be happy to debate.....

I've recently bought the Olympus teleconverter for my Fuji S7000, the quality and clarity is very good, I hadn't realised it only works properly at full zoom but overall I think I'm going to have some good results with it. Its about £80.
