Yeah 35mm can be troublesome for singular portraits, you can easily throw a single person out of proportion...However when you get a group...35mm is perfect!

Biased...but ive got the 35L and it's turned into my everything lens. Fast AF, awesome IQ/sharpness. Ok it does vignette and the bokeh isnt as 'creamy' the Sigma Art... But I choose the Canon (despite it being more expensive) as I felt its well established and known as a solid reliable lens...

Since moving to FF I miss my 70-200 on crop I found it too long. I guess a 70-200 2.8 will be on the cards at a point.

If those are your issues with body then no. I had a similar situation a while back, although for me it was noise that was the issue. Going from a 500D to 6D was well worth it. But if you're not limited by noise performance then yeah, more glass. Although a 40D no longer costs loads of money...

I was about to say 35...but someone states you have one? I tried using a 50 for walkabout on both crop/ff...every time went back to my 35. May be im biased but I simply love my 35. Versitle, fast, good IQ etc

Have you got AF micro adjustments? I had the same problem with my 35 1.4...on my 500D it was almost useless never could achieve good focus. On my 6D I played with micro adjustments and suddenly I can attain good focus at 1.4. Also ive read the internal focusing screen is inaccurate below f2.8...

24-105L or 35L but the latter costs more than 500. Also on a crop its not exactly wide. My money would go on 24-105. I assume the 70d has a digic 5 processor? If so iso performance should be better meaning for low light you can use higher iso speeds to compensate. I rarely use my 35L at 1.4...

Money well spent. I'm incredibly picky with bags, took me over two months to decide. From expensive £200 bags, to lower end lowepro stuff to Crumpler. Super happy with this bag, 6D, 35L, 50mm, 135 FD, apadpters, filters, 50mm Chromenose, 100-200 FD, 430EXII flash. Yet everything fits...
