Bit stuck on what UV filter to get

I'm not quite sure what that's meant to mean?? I'm not wondering whether it's better to have them or not - I just want to know where I find the information as to what size filter would fit my lenses

Bit stuck on what UV filter to get

I'm looking to get a couple of uv filters to help protect my lenses but I'm a bit stuck with what size I should get or where I find the info. I've got a pentax 18-55 and a sigma 70-300. If someone can help that would be great thanks

Just been having a look at some manfrotto carry bags - just wondering are the "padded" bags really worth the extra money??

Can any head fit any bit of equipment??

I've got a velbon qhd-33q ball head to go with my monopod. Just wondering if I can use this head on any other brand of equipment like a redsnapper tripod or any other type of tripod or if I have to now stick with velbon??

    Poppy For Remembrance Day

Just on a similar line and one that many people don't realise you can get is a Purple Poppy. The Purple Poppy was brought out to remember all the fallen animals used over the years and still being used today - some of our boys couldn't be without the sniffer dogs etc. If anyone is...

    First monopod advise...

Well after my shopping trip Saturday tried a few different makes/models of mono pods but decided picked up a velbon rup-v40 and velbon qhd-33q ball head - pleased with how sturdy it seems - unfortunately didn't get to try it out at brands today as was absolutely soaking wet :( hopefully will be...

    Chancel Repair Liability !!!

my guess is your search came back with "potential"liability. Most searches do - and chancel liability stops in 2013 unless it's been registered against the property. ;)

    Any Lee Child book fans?

Since my dad introduced me to the Jack Reacher books I had to read them all and look forward to when the next one comes out. From my point of view Russell Crowe or Gerard Butler would be my choice especially if they decided to make a film out of "the affair" with that certain chapter...

    First monopod advise...

I must admit I do tend to camera shake so my thinking behind the monopod was just to give me that bit more stability with the slightly larger lens. Will be my first time trying to pan so will see what I come back with lol :D

    First monopod advise...

Thanks for the responses guys - surprised no one has mentioned velbon monopods? Would it be right in saying as long as the monopod can hold enough weight doesn't matter what make/cost the most important thing is getting the right quick release/tilting head??

    First monopod advise...

Didn't want to start a new thread as this is basically the same question I have. Using for motorsport and wildlife, just to give that extra stablity for my 70-300mm lens. Tutor at my college course said about Jessops ones and that should really get one with a footplate/wide base and quick...
