Thanks for the advice.
I have had my 5D Mk3 for about 8 weeks now, so I only have a 70-200mm L and a 50mm/1.8 lens.
I am also using an old 28-105mm and I like the range on it, hence me asking about that one for the 5D Mk3.

Hi guys
I wonder if I could have your opinion on which lens to buy.
I have a 5D Mk3 and need a general walkabout lens. I was considering the Canon 24-70 L or 24-105mm L.
Anyone use either of these, or anything else for that matter, and what's your opinion.
Laura
I use a camlink tripod with a geared Manfrotto head.
The tripod is very sturdy and as such, is quite heavy! For me this isn't a problem as I shoot a lot of still life. When I do take it out it can be a pain to carry very far!
For still life the geared head is very good for making fine...
Oh I'm glad to find this thread!!!
I have an HND and was thinking of doing my final year with the OCA.
Can anyone who has done/is doing this level let me know how they found/are finding it!
I use Canon and have done for several years now.
My husband uses Nikon and we have a great bit of banter about it!
I asked him to hold my 7D one day when we were out shooting and all I could hear behind me was 'I'm melting....melting!'
Mine was a 35mm Pentax which I still have.
I was 16 years old and it was sent to me by my uncle in Australia.
I got the bug and my dad built me my own darkroom just off our kitchen!
Tamrac Expidition 6 user here too.
They are fab bags but heavy when loaded up!
For day trips I use a smaller Tamrac (3375 aero speedpack 75) and it got me round Canada just fine!
