    probably a really basic question but...how do you set a really long exp on the Nikon D5000...? i have tried scrolling the rear control dial in both "M" mode and "S" mode but it reaches a maximum value (cannot remember exactly what it is but not over a couple of mins) and i cannot make it go any...

    ...probably very basic question but I am a noob. I have seen some pics where there are people (at a gig so obviously not still) and the background has the impression that it has had a long exposure as there are light trails etc...But the people still look pretty much in focus...is this achieved...
