Hi, looking for a little help....I upgraded from an x10 to an x-e1 a couple of weeks ago ( although I kept my x10 having been offered £80 as a "trade in" against the x-e1 ) I managed to take the camera out at the weekend for it's first real outing. I probably took about 60 pictures, on one of...
Having recently had the same quandry, I narrowed down my choice of wide angle landscape lenses to either Tokina 12-24 ATX DX F4 or a Nikon 12-24 DX F4.
In the end I went for a 2nd hand Nikon ( bought from ffordes - they seem to have a reasonable selection of 2nd hand examples in your price...
Hi...I was looking for some advice.
I've owned a d7000 for about 12 months now.
It's my first dslr and I recently had it repaired for an autofocus problem ( significant back focus issues ). If I'm being honest the battle with reliable focus with the camera has dented my confidence in it...

Just been trying to get the hang of my x10 over the last couple of months. Have to say it's an absolute pleasure to use....here's a handful from the last week, nothing spectacular - but I love the super macro feature, so easy to use, very satisfying results...

My camera just stopped reading images from my Sandisk SDHC card, would jog to a certain image and just stop reading.. The card is only about 4 weeks old....reformatted it and it's behaving again. First time I've ever had a card fail on me. What are the chances this is a one off? Any chance it's...
Thanks Terry - so are you saying that in A, S or M mode if I have it on auto ISO will automatically drop into "EXR mode"? If I fix ISO it overrides EXR?
sorry for newbie questions.....
I'm a bit confused with the image quality settings on the x10.
I'm sure I read somewhere that the x10 produces better quality images if the camera is set to produce medium quality images as opposed to fine quality images and the EXR processor is left to process what is in effect 2 x medium...
Apologies....hit send too early! Was wondering if someone could recommend a case for the x10? I like the official fuji leather case but the cost sticks in my throat a bit. Anyone got any suggestions of a good alternative?
Hi, I've been picking through this thread for the last few months and as a result I picked up an x10 a couple of weeks ago. It's an absolute joy to use and it's really made me enjoy just going out and taking pictures for the fun of it, so much so at my dslr has been sitting in its bag since I...
Hi Aimee - maybe a bit far for you but I did a one day course in glencoe and surrounding areas with a chap called billy currie recently. It was very good.
Thanks for that Tom, I was just wondering about the contrast ( or lack of ) in the landscape shots.
Is the only way to add this during post processing or is there something I should have been doing when taking the shots themselves to add more contrast to the image??
Thanks folks...I think I'm a bit guilty of pixel peeping and expecting super sharpness at 100% and just looking for problems.
Jamo - if you pop "D7000 back focus" into google you'll find plenty of articles about the issue. But I urge you not to though - if you're happy with yours and getting...
