I hadn't heard about this myself and while its not very scientific I can confirm that my 400AF hasn't blown up my a200 yet :lol:.

I've enquired through the web twice or possibly three times about an item listed on the lce website as at Guildford and they have never replied by phone or email, very dissapointed. I suppose I could try ringing them.

If you see http://www.futureshop.ca you'll be amazed at how the websites look identical and the text on pages like about us is basically the same text with place names substituted for UK ones. I'm not from Canada but I assume Futureshop is a genuine shop whose website has been ripped off.

If you google some of the phrases on their About Us page you will find its been lifted wholesale from another website with their name inserted at key points.

Good news is imo when you do a quick format it just erases the file allocation tables and leaves all the files physically intact on the disk. So when this does complete you should get pretty good results.

Further to my previous posts it seems that my sony 18-70 which got dropped is dead, one of the teeth is missing off the focus assembly and it causes the camera not to know when to stop trying to focus. My new question is, what to replace it with? I'd like something in a similar quality/budget...
