Hi Dale Just come across your post regarding stacking and Nikon D800. I'm looking to upgrade my pc as my laptop is struggling on processing RAW files from D800. The spec you posted for your pc, is that coping with the huge file size from the D800 or would you look for something better?

Camera is in manual mode and I also set the aperture on the camera to match. My understanding to use HFD, you set on the lens the aperture, (which it's only allowing me to set at f22) and then change your distance scale to match the aperture or to infinity. Unless I've got this completely...

I've been trying to use my new lens in manual mode trying to use hyperfocal distance. The problem I'm getting is when I take the lock off and change the aperture from the min of f22, I get an error message on my D800 fEE. If I reset the aperture ring back to f22 the lens works fine in autofocus...
