Thanks, will probably go for it, I guess some of the less than positive reviews may be due to user error, either it not being clean or not mounted correctly. It's for attaching to a car as well.
An old post but some great ones in there that capture the fun. Especially like the one of the trudge back up the slope to retrieve skis; I've had to do that for my wife on a few occasions whilst waist deep in snow!
I've been interested in the G9X and looking at these too. The MkII looks to be a relatively small update so I was also hoping the MkI may drop in price.
I found it available for £357 and also further Canon cashback offer of a further £25, I can't imagine it will be reduced much further soon...
I'd like to buy a suction mount for my GoPro but have conflicting reviews about the effectiveness of the official version.
Could anyone offer advice/experience of this or alternatives please? Have also looked at the Delkin Fat Gecko but may be a little OTT for a GoPro?
Thanks

Particularly of interest is the better AF system of either (D5300 is step up from current camera) and the built in...
Since updating the OS on my iMac and the inclusion of the new version of Photos, Picasa seems to have stopped recognising my iPhone in the import menu.
It appears to be a known problem when I googled it, but I haven't as yet found a solution other than using different software to import.
Does...
USB 1 will just determine the transfer rate, but as others have said most people just use a card reader. Compact cameras have moved on so far recently I'd not contemplate buying a 10 year old model even though it is so cheap.
