    GF1/EPL1 biased opinions??

Not when I tested them all against each other. I found that the GF1 won against the EP1 and the EP2 won against the GF1. Basically, it was always the newer camera with improved noise control.:D

Strange ISO number & Copyright info

Are you running the camera at a 1/3 over exposure? Seeing as noise performance on the D300 is very good, I wondered if the Nikon D300 compensates using the ISO so as not to affect the depth of field or shutter speed. Just a thought.

    1st SLR

If you're going used on Canon, the 20D or 10D are better because they were released before Canon introduced noise reduction which mucks up the image. low ISO images are clearer IMO.

whats the best macro OM lens for my olympus dslr

You'll need to get the OM adapter to fit the old glass to a DSLR. Last time I looked, the adapter was about £150 but that may have come down now...:)

    Helpdesk

Did everyone see me in Digital Photographer magazine? I did the Helpdesk this month helping all and sundry with their problems. I thought it looked pretty good. I'll be in the next two issues and a bookazine they're producing on black & white printing!:D

How do you organise your files?

Stick them in a folder labelled "unedited" and leave them to rot. ;)

Strange ISO number & Copyright info

Save For Web also strips EXIF but if your ISO is showing, it's not being removed. As said earlier, auto ISO has no boundaries and will also work on 1/3step or finer. I've come across compacts with umpteen auto ISO settings of bizarre numbers. There will be little difference of ISO256 to ISO200.

    memory card problem

Hi guys, has anyone got any idea why a brand new SDHC card that was used on a brand new EOS 550D would then show as blank until the images were recovered using recovery software? I'm wondering if it has something to do with formatting the card which I'm unsure if it was done. It's not my camera...

Which tripod to get for boyfriends bday?

Manfrotto are very good and if you have a large budget, Gitzo. They're hand-made in Italy and have had the gentle touch of some burly Italian called something like Paolo. ;) I have a Manfrotto 190CX Pro4, full carbon fibre construction, very light weight, packs down small but costs around...

    GF1/EPL1 biased opinions??

The Sony NEX-3 or 5 are very small camera bodies and have an APS-C sensor. With regards to my previous post, my apologies, I was referring to the E-P1. Oly have improved with the E-P2 and E-PL1 and they trump the GF1. :) I still think the GF1 looks nicer though. Noise is still an issue with...

    new camera opinions

Thanks for the reply, dude I work for Jacobs, I aint going to go to Jessops if you know what I mean... ;) Yeah, I have a 350D so the layout is different, what gets me about the Sony is that it performs well in all areas and can have CZ glass fitted, even if it is limited in availablilty...

    Stupid Mistake!

Used to do it all the time when I was testing cameras. I'd have three or four cameras at a time and have to use one card to take the test pics...

    Beginner 1st Camera

Technically an NX10 isnt a DSLR because it doesn't have a mirror box or pentaprism meaning their's no reflex action. It does have interchangeable lenses and an APS-C sensor which the Canon shares. If you can, push to the EOS 550D because it's simply built better. Canon also have more lenses...
