Hi all I'm new to DSLR photography and I'm off to see my son in a play/musical at theatre tonight. I just wondered if anyone could help me out as to what sort of settings I will need to get decent shots of him on stage. With low lighting but lit stage yet needing higher shutter speed...any help...

Thanks for that. I am new to this but have started using RAW. It just seems my photos look a bit washed out until I have added some colour saturation.

No it's pretty sparse for shops that provide this service I have discovered. I have sent my camera to H Lehmann LTD in Stoke On Trent so fingers crossed they can sort it

It was LCE. They did have a good go and were confident they could sort it but alas not. Didn't charge me

The original problem has been removed but there just appears to be dust particles on pics now. Have sent camera off to be repaired now so have nothing to show at present

Sony alpha v Minolta Hi all Being new to photography I'm pricing up zoom lens'. Can anyone tell me if there is a huge difference in quality between a Sony alpha lens and a Minolta 75-300? Any advice appreciated.

The camera came with the sony AM 18-55 lens plus a sony AM 55-200. They seem great for my knowledge at present but for future reference the other lens'. Also are lens converters worth looking at? Wide angle converter mainly? Thanks
