Zoombrowser EX v6 and Vista

Just got a new Dell laptop XPS M1530 with Vista Home Premium. Loaded the software that came with my G9 and all seemed fine. But when trying to start Zoombrowser I get a message that says ZB module has stopped working A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Anyone else had this problem. I've tried uninstalling and installing again and got the latest update from the canon website but makes no difference. :bang::bang:

I have had a look around and here is a solution in a tech forum, I can't say if they will work in your case or not.

I found the problem.
This is what I did to solve the problem:


1. stop ZB

2. Delete all the ZbThumbnail.info files under "my pictures" and "my documents"


3. Move out all photos and directories from under "my pictures". Move them to a temp directory. ex d:\temp.

4. Start ZB and download some pictures from memory card


5. Then start moving files from temp dir to "my pictures", testing ZB occasionally.

Not going to work as there aren't any ZBThumbnail.info files as I've never managed to open it at all.

Have the same problem when I got my new Toshiba I gave up in the end, I now let windows put the files in the pictures folder automatically then cut and paste them to were I want then open them in bridge.

Wouldn't be so annoying if DPP would handle G9 RAW files!
