Does anyone know of a full frame zoom lens in Nikon AF fitting with a focal length of 100 to 300mm. The manufacturer can be any of the following:- Nikon, Sigma, Tamron or Tokina. 70/300 are two a penny, but the short length is a bit short so 100mm is a good start up to about 120mm max

They must be rarer than the proverbial hens teeth!

I would like to rationalise my normal lenses down to 3. Currently I have a Nikon 12/24, a 24/120. (The more expensive one, with the constant aperture and stabilisation). Plus an old-ish and not all that brilliant 70/300 AFD with the focal length between 70-120 being duplicated. With the 120/300 (I didn't know one existed) I will have a a full range of 12 to 300 with no duplication in just 3 lenses which are a little more modern. (I also have a Tamron 90 1-1 macro which is of course a specialised lens) I imagine the 120/300 is quite a pricy bit of kit what am I likely to be looking at price wise? Either new or used?

May I ask where you found yours?

There is the old Sigma 100-300mm f4, one of the best lenses i have ever owned, quite a few on Ebay, best condition ones seem to be from japanese sellers,
found a UK seller here Sigma 100-300mm
