Hi Guys,

I have a website but want to use Zenfolio to display my Gallery and Give customers the option to purchase prints.

I want it to look like its part of the website.

Please help me :(

What's you site called Matt and I'll take a look and see if it's a similar set-up to how I have mine. I've just got galleries set up but not that I'd be expecting folks to purchase anything.

Thank you Di,

My site is www.oxonphotography.co.uk it's still currently being built.

Thanks again

Matt

Hi Matt, I think as you build up your gallery, you can set the option to purchase using 'printed from the site activity settings'. As you change the settings, select Allow ordering at base lab prices then select one of the four vendors they give you to choose from.

As you then view each photo, you'll see in the tool box on the right hand side towards the bottom, a print ordering section. I'd assume from that being enabled, that your customer can go on and place their orders.

They do run some tutorials or webinars which might be worth checking out as well. There might also be something under Home - Product on their site as well.

Good luck

Di

Take a look at my site, it is linked with zenfolio but some of the features needed for it to work seamlessly are only available on the Premium Business version and also you will need to do a little bit of code work to display in pages. There is plenty of info the zenfolio forums and usually quick with replies. Go to my Client section.

Thanks Tom, appreciate your help ;)

I have just looked and it looks like it limits you to only purchase from Photobox and few others. I was hoping for the client to select a required photo size type, pay for it then I could choose my prefered print lab and send it to them??

Also for me to Link a external Homepage it needs to be at least a Premium service which is around £100....

Maybe Basic site using customised Lightroom Web Galleries so they look similar to my site may work better for me?

I have the business premium which I got for £60 via half price offer and a discount code for pro tog forum I am a member of only the other week, bargain.

I am using One Vision for prints and I use self fulfilling canvas and other things, I already use one vision for school stuff.

Get the business premium, it is worth it.

Cheers Tom,

I just need to do some sums, with the Zenfolio & Paypal fees it seems less attractive now.

Also struggled with my trial account to get a custom Zenfolio site looking any good?? However if I had a discount like that it may sway me :)

Thanks again.

Matt

Yeah but with Premium Business if you self full-fill and use DSCL for instance you won't pay any fees at all, even with PayPal.

Let me see if I've got a code anywhere Matt.

Sent you a referal code via PM Matt, hope it works for you

Thanks for the advice guys.

I have the Zenfolio trial running and am getting bit more familiar with it now.

I do find the postage difficult to calculate especially when self fulfilling all products.

Let me know what you think: http://matthadland.zenfolio.com

I just use a set fee for postage, £1 for a few prints and use a sliding scale for the bigger and heavier stuff, make sure you take into account package cost and labour.

wow...Matt, good work on your site set up but I bought 1 6x4 print for £3.99...and then it cost me the same again in postage......too much I reckon.

If you think you are going to self full-fill a lot...it would be worth you upgrading to the top package then you won't pay any fees at all.

I am busy tomorrow but I will try and make time to chat on Wednesday if you like.

Thanks Tom,

That's the exact issue I was having.
My Lab charges me around £3.95 fixed.
From 1 print to 100 Prints it's same price.

If I charge less than that I am losing money??

If I batch order and they collect in person I can divide the postage up, but That's not always going to be the case.

Weds would be good,

Really appreciate your help.

Matt
