Taking the shirt off someones back.
FFS! what is wrong with some people?

At around 4.40pm on Thursday (13/1) the victim was walking along Grafton Street between Childs Way and the A509 ( MK)
when two men on a scooter approached him.

One of the offenders held a wooden bat and asked the victim to remove
his coat and hoodie and hand them over before the offenders left on the scooter in the direction of Rooksley Retail Park.

One of the offenders is described as a black man of average build, around 5ft 9ins tall and is aged between 16 and 18.
He was wearing a black balaclava, a black and blue North Face jacket, grey bottoms and was carrying a wooden bat.
The other offender was a black man of skinny build, around 6ft tall and is also aged between 16 and 18.

And even if the Plod catches them they won't do anything, because the perps are under 18!

The real sadness is, that if the victim had a bat too and threatened one of the offenders with it, he too would be an offender and not a victim anymore.

And I can only surmise that the motorscooter was stolen......assuming it had a genuine number plate on the back of it?

PS did the report say what designer brand the victim was wearing?

Probably fake Burberry, as worn by most Chavs.

Are we really surprised?
Well I have no idea how youngsters behave where you live, I can only surmise that this is the norm.
However it certainly isn't here.
Were they Terminators?
We do have a lot of robotic development here, so I guess its not out the realms of possibility.
I guess they'll be back if they were.

It didn't say motor scooter, so it maybe one of hundreds of the electric things, that we have here, that you can get free for the first 10 mins.
( well you could recently, I'm not sure if that is still current [sic] )

Ah! well was thinking of putting the word as (motor)scooter ;)

As per the robotic parcel delivery units ......do the scooters have active tracking? If not how do they combat theft or 'inconsiderate' usage retention?

Yes. They get dumped, and then rounded up from time to time.
Especially if the battery is flat ( it calls home for that too )

You pay by app. so no freebies :D
So if the miscreants used one of those MK scooters.......their route and dumping point can be mapped. Surely a boon to policing ;)

In theory yes its doable, but I guess the police have better things to do than try and track down minor criminals
(Its a very sore point here with the escalating minor crime rate :( )

It may not have been the items of clothing they were after, could have been the contents of the pockets.
Many people keep there phones wallets, keys etc in pockets.]
Latest craze round here seems to be kicking doors then speeding off on these electric scooters, not the public hire ones.
One door was kicked hard enough to pen it !!

Maybe I'm being pessimistic but I tend to think that for some there really are no limits to what they'll do and so although I'm often surprised I not really, if you see what I mean.

That's not a bad shout actually.
A move up from give us your wallet / phone.
That way they get it all. Weed and all ;)
