Hi All.
I have been away from photography for quite a while now due to a lot of different circumstances. Now i want to rejoin the TOG community.

I used to use a D7000 and loved it but need something more portable and lighter now, i have been trolling around the different forums and have taken a liking to the Olympus omd range but due to finances i have been looking at the OMD 10 mkii.

I have never owned a micro 4/3rds camera and was worried about the smaller sensor size, so i was wondering if any owners out there can give me their personal views of these cameras.

I like the look of the body.
I like the 5 axis is
I like the controllability.
And i like the choice of lenses available.

I would mostly be using the camera whilst out and about at different events, but would also like to take pictures of bands at several venues in my area usually indoors and quite dark.
From what i have read i don't think these are that good at sports but would like to try anyway.

Any help would be appreciated towards me making my choice.

Thank You Paul.

I can't help with the mk2 but I went from a d7000 to an em10 about 16 months ago, starting off with the 14-42 and a 45 1.8. First thing I noticed was almost instant focussing - for portraits, it just locked on. I was also worried about the smaller sensor but as soon as I saw the results, this disappeared - the amount of detail m43 captured was amazing, and the lenses are really sharp.

I don't really have an issue with "high" ISO as I don't tend to go over 3200 and the em10 is perfectly acceptable at this level.

Not sure what sports you're interested in but I have no issues with panning in Motorsport. Football as OK but I only tried it once or twice and didn't rally have any experience with the Nikon to make an accurate comparison.

Do I regret my change ? No - only only desire is less depth of field at times. The fact that I carry a samyang fisheye, 25 f1.8, 12-40 f2.8, 35-100 f2.8, 75-300 ii, 2 spare batteries, a flash, filters and memory cards in a sling that used to carry the d7000 and 2 lenses is a bonus :)
