Your Opinions On This Setup Please

I,m buying a new tripod and head this week, the setup i,m looking at is the manfrotto 055XPROB and the 488RC2 head or the 322RC2 head,i,m leaning towards the 322RC2 head at the moment, so looking for your opinions, i must admit i do like the idea of the grip on the 322RC2, if anyone owns any of this kit perhaps you could comment on it, many thanks in advance

I have the same legs (!!!), but the 804RC2 head
very pleased with it

I have the same legs but them be older 055B, and the 804RC2 head, also older 168QR Ball Head.

055ProB legs but with a 488RC4 head.
Went for the RC4 version due to the Quick Release plate being so much larger. Plus you get 2 spirit levels as well.
The separate pan function is nice.

I went for the manfrotto 055MF3 & 322RC2 head I have not used it a great deal, ( but intend to put that right shortly) I bought from the States in the end, got stung with the tax but still came out in front
I find the head useful as it can be used "on end" like a joystick or horizontal. The only trouble with the grip is that there is no "fine addjustment" its just grip and turn, though you can set "the friction"

I have the Neotec with the 488rc2 head. A nice solid set up. I wasn't too sure about getting a ballhead, but am very happy now that I did.

I have the 322 head and am very happy with it. Having said that, it's the only tripod head I have ever used so have nothing to compare it with.

I use it almost exclusively for landscapes so no micro adjustments required.

Thanks for the feedback guys, just another question when looking at the 488RC4 head sometimes it,s referred to as "a ball head" and other times "a midi ball head" are they talking about the same head ? ie here and here

Seems to be
The height weight and load specs are the same in both ads
I guess its just another way of advertising
