I know there are people of all abilities here, this isn't a thread necessarily about your "best" photos in a textbook way, but your 5 favourite photos you have taken. They might capture a special memory or it just might be of something unusual.
A brief explanation about why you've included it would be good. If you can remember what camera you used, it might be interesting to include this too.
I'll get the ball rolling
1) My little girl. Just a few hours old.
Taken with Sony Cybershot W130.
This picture is special to me because it puts into perspective how absolutely amazing nature is. The whole process of your first child being born is a roller-coaster. I didn't think it was possible to love another person as much as i love this one.
2) My little girl watering the garden.
Taken with a Canon EOS 500D with 135 f/2.
I had wanted a photo of my little girl surrounded by the wonder colours of my mum's garden and she just wouldn't perform. My mum one day gave her a watering can as a present and i couldn't get i away from the flowers. I love this shot because it shows a little child trying to do a grown up thing.
3) Daisy and bubble
This photo dates from around 2003. It was taken with my first half decent digital camera, the pentax optio 550. It was a chance snap and it was really one of the pictures which really sparked my interest in photography and what was possible.
4) Circuit
This photo also dates back to 2003 and was again taken with the pentax optio. It was illuminated by a laser pointer and was one of my first attempts at messing around with long exposures. This was another one of those pictures which really sparked my interest in photography.
5) What a difference 19 months makes
Taken with a Canon EOS 5D + 135 f/2
This is one of those moments which was over in a second. My little girl and boy in a genuine moment of affection. That unique bond between brother and sister born, unfolding before our eyes.
Over to you.
