Good morning,

Now I want you to close your eyes and imagine this.

Did you close your eyes? How are you going to read what I'm saying? Haha

You get a phone call tomorrow morning from your favourite camera shop and they tell you that you have won a competition to grab your dream set up and a basic salary for 12 months so you can pursue your dreams.

What are you buying? And then what are you going to photograph?

Mine would be

2 x Fujifilm xt5's

1 x Fujifilm XF 18-120mm

1 x Fujifilm xf 8-16mm

1 x Fujifilm 150-600mm

1 x Fujifilm 35mm

1 x Fujifilm 56mm

1 x Shoulder bag big enough for the 18-120, 35mm and 56mm and a camera body

1 x big shoulder bag for everything haha

8 x 64gb cards

10 x batteries

And finally what would you do for your year?

I would go to the Kruger National Park for 2 months and take as many wildlife and bird photos as possible
I would continue taking photos of dogs especially at private rescues
Maybe start writing some articles and blog posts and of course some interviews.

What would you buy and what would you do?

I have all the gear I need but if Mrs WW would agree in this dream world, and she wouldn't, I'd have a year travelling in and photographing Kazakhstan. I went there a number of times when I was dating a Kazakh who split her time between there and the west and I loved the place and it'd be a great place to spend a year on photography.

Ummmmm..... This could be a tough one.....

The Leica Q3 43 could be an instant click to be fair ;)

But, full dream set up...... I think it would have to include a.....

Leica Summilux 35/1.4
Leica Summicron 90/2
Leica M10-P
Leica M6

And where......

I think a tour of Italy :) Rome, Tuscany, The Dolomites....

And maybe a handful of the American National Parks such as Glacier, Mount Rainier, Grand Tetons, Yosemite, Yellowstone, ect

Banff could be another place.

And NYC for street.

what would I do for a year? That’s a tough one. A photostory or documentary most likely. Landscapes for fun too. I have all the kit I need no need for more of that.

2x Sony A1 II’s, 300mm f2.8, 400mm f2.8, 16-35mm GM II, and a Fujifilm x100VI

I would do every F1 and MotoGP race, and then do a safari during the winter break, coming back to photograph games at Anfield. At some point I’d try and fit in 4 weeks doing Route 66.

A couple of R1’s
R70-200
R100-500

And a media pass to photograph the WRC for a year.

I can already buy new equipment if I need it but I would need to be at least 20 years younger. If you know a camera shop that can arrange that let me know.

Dave

Hasselblad or Fuji GFX100 plus assortment of lenses - and do what Toby does - Route 66 in all its length (and properly)...

And Nikon Z8/Z9 plus assortment of 35/50/85 1.2 lenses and 400/2.8 TC - Caribbean, Costa Rica, Namibia, SA, India, Kenya for the wildlife.

I would dread driving through Colwyn Bay with all that stuff in my boot, I'd be mugged!
