I am at the moment sitting at home a little bored and thinking where can I go not to far away from Watford to go and take some pictures.

So challenge is does any one have any ideas of interesting places to go and visit to get some pictures??

I was thinking of Richmond Park, but having been there, done that, I was looking for something a little different.

Thanks

The Lake District! :D:D:D

Woburn Safari Park
Waddesden Manor
Whipsnade

(all the WWWW in fact!)

Who needs to drive all the way to up to the lakes when you have Aldenham Country Park on your doorstep. :D

Might be worth a look, some nice wooded bits and the lake for backdrop.

Waddesden Manor not a bad idea, near Aylesbury

Woburn and Whipsnade bit expensive so near to Xmas :)

And Pooh Corner as well as the children's farm.

Again good idea.

Having just been out in the garden I now realise it is in fact raining!!!!!!!! Doh!!

I was going to say i'll come with ya, im only down the road.. but then i noticed you use Nikon.. :exit:

Only messing.. :canon: :woot:

Aldenham is nice but when its wet and grey its not so nice... What sort of photography do you prefer??

To Do List:

1: Phone Terrorist Network
2: Make way to site of next social atrocity
3: Take photos, being careful not to help anyone so as to "maintain the realism"
4: Cup of Tea

If you're up for an hours drive you should come take a look at the 17th Century Village I live in, in Bedfordshire. The architecture is stunning, and I make a good coffee....

I prefer trying motorsports but that's out of the question have tried landscape etc, mainly wanted to try different things today and try taking the Nikon off of the dreaded Auto setting on the dial, so a trial and error day :)

Hitchin town centre? Haven't been there for years but seem to remember some photo possibilities there.

Look forward to seeing results from wherever you end up today :)

Not been to Hitchin for years

Thanks for the offer, going to have a bite to eat and then decide where to go.

Train into Covent Garden - Indoor candids...

Must say I am tempted with this idea

Just a bit worried what people would think and also taking my camera into London. Would I also need a tripod or could I get away without one?
