Yes
You have a 7d, you can have any lens for the week what would it be and why?

Where am I going with it?

Canon 600mm f4 for birding. Would go well with my 1.4tc to give a rather powerful tele lens. Oh, and some good sunny weather.

I'd love to try the 1200mm f5.6, but that's probably overkill...

Probably one of the narrow DoF 50/85L's

Anything?

Canon 200mm f/2, just because I'd love to play around with one :)

17mm TS-e,I hired a 24mm Mk1 and did not have enough time to really get to know its potential

EF85mm 1.2f

And see if I can finally nail that once in a lifetime shot I'm eternally searching for, of each of my 100 mph kids! :D

400 f/2.8L MkII

And if it just happened to accidentally end up on ebay I wouldn't have had anything to do with it :whistling:

this or 600/4. I have no idea what to do with it tough - probably would go into a forest.

400 f2.8 definitely, and get meself off to the resevoir or red kite centre or to a cricket match.

FYI, I once spent 2 weeks very very close to a mk1 when staying in the same hotel as a pro covering the cricket I was attending. It was rather frustrating on the bus to the ground each morning to have this beauty sitting on the seat next to me and never get a go with it. I did touch it a few times though :)

70-200 2.8 is V1 or V2. Though I'll have that with any Canon camera.....

I'd like a go at finding a really good quality walkabout lens, so I'd have to pick the 28-300 IS L and see if it's worth saving for.

70-200 IS L I have the f4 but would obviously rather have the 2.8

Canon 200mm f1.8, used one once and it was absolutely awesome, so a whole week would be heaven :D

Already have my dream lens, 400mm f2.8

but if i have to choose i would wait for the 200-400f4 and see if its worth swapping the 400 for

I have the 400 too Phil, I hired a 200 f2 for some gymnastics and it was amazing...So for a free weeks hire it would have to be the 200mm f2

Samyang/Rokinon 8mm Fisheye, granted not an expensive lens but after a week it may never get used again so this would be a great way of trying it out :)
