Edit My Images
No
Hello All,
Having seen mini planets elsewhere today I had a go with a few snaps I have.
I’m using PS elements but my PS skills are lacking. So my question is how should I hide this join?
I’m not so worried about this circular image as such, it’s just a handy way of trying out PS stuff.
Over to you all.

Many thanks in advance.

Careful cloning or the way I did it was to "Flip and stich" the same image
there is a quick "how to"
here

Thanks Cobra,
I’m an alcohol…b****r as well, so I’ll wait until morning to read this fully. The first thing I note is my seagull is not symmetric. I had thought of this (but not sure how to do it) but won’t I end up with a two headed seagull, or worse! Nice with the palm tree.
As I say will study in more detail tomorrow.
Thanks for the reply.

You just place / overlap the image where you want it
if the seagull becomes a problem clone it back in one image to the other, once the main
image is sorted .
If you don't know how, you just have both images open at once in your chosen "photoshop" programme and clone away

Edit I have just realised you have the sky in the middle was this your intention?
If not then you need to invert the image first before "polar coordinates"

Hello
The flip horizontal thing works well with this image, thanks for the input. I suspect it won’t work as well with a less symmetrical photo so I’ll have to look for other way of blending at the edge.

I understand the convention is to have the sky on the outside but I like it the other way for this one but I appreciate your pointing it out and the “fix”. I’ve done one the “correct” way to see what it’s like (with a bit of rough and ready cloning on the join).
Which do people prefer?

Once again many thanks for the assistance.

No worries
TBH "mini planets" are very subjective
If you like them as far as I am concerned thats all that matters
