Only got the one flash but it's been stuck in my bag for months....so as the title say, how can I improve??

I think this is pretty good - nice light pool and the models are fairly well defined.

Because these look translucent, they'd probably work with an additional light from somewhere behind to give a bit of rim lighting and to punch through the plastic to make it pop. However, that means investing in another flash

Have you tried using some little reflectors? A bit of tin foil on a piece of card (out of shot) to bounce some light back in might work

A torch! LED ones work ok. Try putting some gels over the lens (torch, not camera!) Toffee wrappers would be OK!

Thanks guys, i did have a play with a torch from under the stairs ( very professional lol ) but it was just putting a big ring on the wall

Ok so i had a little play around with tinfoil and stuff and came up with this.....is the tinfoil a distraction?, because I kinda like the texture behind him.

Can you take a setup shot - are you on or of camera, any kind of diffuser?
