Hi all, has anyone used the above flash. I don't tend to use flash a lot but could do with it now and again. Don't really want to pay what nikon want for a flash, even used price are more than I want to pay. This one is on sale on eBay for just under £40. Any info appreciated. Thanks

Yes I have one for off camera flash and it works well with the rf603n triggers.

If you want a flash to use on camera have a look at the ttl flashes.

I have one too for. It depends on what you're doing with it. Do you want TTL? if so then you want to look at the mk III. If you prefer manual, then its a fantastic flash at a great price!

Does the yn560iii do ttl. ?

No, I think you need the yn565 for ttl.

Sorry. Getting confused. The 565's are TTL. The 560's are manual only. Although I would still suggest the 560 III. You can then buy the 560 TX and control the power from on the camera. Made my life so much easier.

And the mkiii has the built in receiver for the triggers ?

It does, can work with 602's 603's or the best option as has already been said the 560TX which allows changing the power and zoom.

I use these for OCF. I'd rather have a fifty quid flash hanging on top of a lightstand with a brolly or beauty dish rather than a flipping expensive Canon 580EXII, just in case it does want to fall over. Plus the built in receiver for the RF602 and RF603 triggers just makes them easy to use. Only negative from these is if you intend to keep them firing quickly, they will get hot quickly and switch themselves off. In summary, you want a cheap manual flashgun, you cant go wrong with these.
