Hi Guys, I got the above flash off a guy here. No issues with that and worked fine out of the box so i'm happy with the sale and nothing against the seller.

Had no problems with it for about a week and now it stays green (goes red when ready to fire) and does not allow me to change any settings other than allowing me to put on the back-light (only once) or holding down the zoom button to change slave modes. no other buttons work.

I have tried with Fresh normal batteries and fully rechargeable and no joy. I have done some googling and found one mention of the fault but no help with it.

Other than taking a hammer to it, any ideas on how to fix it?

Thanks

Jon

Actually, I bought an ae1 film kit here a while ago and the old 177A speedlight that came with it would not work with my 2900 7dayshop re-chargeables??? I used a ear bud wetted with an electrical contact cleaner on the flash terminals deep inside the old flash and rubbed the battery terminals on my jeans, and that did the trick, the old flash works a treat now.
Christ knows with electrical stuff worth a try?.

Steve.

Hi Guys, Sorry for the late reply, just got back from Belgium (6hrs of spa :D)

Don't worry about it Steve, if it didn't work out of the box then I would have accepted the refund but crap happens. I appreciate the offer though.

Its not the fact its not turning on, its almost like its getting stuck. I will do some googling etc see if there is a reset of some kind.

thanks for the replies.

sorry to pull up an old post..
Jon did you find a solution for this problem, I have the very same symptoms.
Many thanks
Rich
