Any Yongnuo experts on here?
I've been carrying a set of Yongnuo flashes and the YN 560 TX2 trigger for a few years now, they come in handy if I'm forced to set up indoors at a wedding with bad weather. (I only use them off camera)
This week I got hold of some more flashes (560/4) same as some of mine but these have the earlier? YN 560TX trigger. Thing is the 560TX one has the focus assist window and a lot more pins on the shoe. I'm baffled, why is the earlier? version better, and is it ETTL?
I've got a couple of 650 exrfs, I'm guessing it'll work with these too?

Looking on Amazon it suggests the 560 TX2 is smaller and lighter, with improved locking mechanism.
My guess would be the focus assist has been dropped due to the general switch to mirrorless, which generally don't work with the focus assist systems I believe.

It has got the slide lock rather than the screw down system, and slightly smaller. I'm wondering why it's got so many contact pins as well, looks like it might have ettl but I'm not having any joy with the new ettl flash other than manual. (the new round head version is a PITA to set up wirless compared to the old 560s)
