Yongnu Remote Camera triggering and Remote Flash?

Has anyone tried using the Yongnuo triggers succesfully to trigger a second camera and remote flashes?

eg Sender on the handheld camera fires the second camera which has the flash sender in its hotshoe.

I know in theory that it works. In practice do you need to use a slower shutter speed than the max (canon) 1/250?

Yes, it works. But the two cameras will not fire exactly in sync.

Second camera will be a few hundredths behind, as it only gets the signal to fire when the first camera is already half way through the shutter cycle.

Yes, but as hoppy says it's slightly behind the other. No problem if it's a static shot but interesting if it's movement.

You could do it the other way, triggering both cameras and flashes with the single transmitter in your hand. You'd need a receiver for each camera and any off camera flashes, plus the leads for the camera shutters.
