I was watching Countryfile last night and they did the piece on the Buzzards. I am sure most seen this as well where some game keepers wanted permission to shoot the Buzzards. Later that evening I was reading through a newspaper which I had brought back from a visit to my parents and came across this article which showed that some people do care :)

I also watched this program as I do every Sunday

Its nice that people care about widlife, however you have to look at both sides of the argument, that of the general bird loving public and the Game Keepers, trying to prevent loss of expensive Poults:shrug:

I personally would never shoot a Raptor, (unless it was with my big Sigma), unfortunatley not all Keepers have this view. The loss incurred from my land is minimal, I loose more to Foxes than any other predator and therefore I adopt a live and let live policy so far as shooting them goes and I will continue to do so.

There was a similar debate with land owners and DEFRA some time back regarding Badgers as I recall  yet no action has been taken so far as a legal cull is concerened - I hope this takes a back seat too :rules:
