Hi,

got a few godox tt600's the other day after a break from photography. I have a Canon mark IV and use a 50mm 1.8.

I've notice my photos with the two speedlights through shoot umbrella's are having a yellow tinge on them whatever white balance i use.

Anyone got any ideas or solutions to fix this?

I’m not sure which canon you mean, 5D mark IV? If so I’m pretty sure that allows you to set custom white balance using a reference image which should sort it out.

If you are using them in combination with other light sources that might cause the problem and the solution then is to add color gels so all the lights have the same white balance. I always get that adjustment wrong first time, if they are looking yellow in comparison with another light source I think that means you need to cool them down with a CTB gel.

Oh sorry forgot to write that its' the 1d Mark IV, yeah have a grey card and didn't seem to work that well but didn't have in full in frame so might try it again with it covering the whole frame.

The godox's are the only light sources i'm using.

Here's a photo for example

Can’t really see anything that can’t be corrected, great shirt btw..

Would this be caused by a white balance setting in the camera settings ?

As above, I’d guess the WB for the shot is for the flash, and the SS is too low allowing the ambient tungsten to interfere with the shot.

Thanks for the comments everyone, will try a few things and see if they help.

Hi everyone, did a shoot today and the photos turned out normal (no yellow tinge) it must of been the ambient light or just wrong white balance before. Thanks for the help everyone.
