Sorry but this is 'yet another bag thread'. I have been trying in vain to find a new walkabout bag that only holds my 'most used' gear without being too large in size.

Basic needs are as follows:
  • shoulder bag with easy top access
  • needs to hold Canon 30D+grip+TP strap with 100-400mm attached, 24-105 and canon flash
  • good padding and internal dividers to survive long term abuse in the boot of the car
  • preferably not too obviously a camera bag
I have looked at numerous options but seem to only end up with the very largest bag in any range to get the camera plus 100-400 fitted in which sort of defeats the point of another bag. My other bag is a Lowepro NatureTrekker

My current position is to go for a Think Tank digital holster and forget about the other lens/flash but I'm hoping someone can suggest an alternative solution for me.

What about one of the large Crumpler Pretty Boys, or the Six Million Dollar Home??

Think the ad for the six million show a large Canon L zoom, plus body spare lens and flash.

Thanks for the replies LadyLens and Victor.
I have looked at the six million dollar home but its not quite tall enough for the camera with 100-400 attached. Ditto for the Pretty boys. Needs to be =>260mm high. The seven million dollar home is a pretty big bag.

I have come across the Tamrac Pro 5 Pro Camera Bag which looks like it would fit the bill. Anybody got/used one?
