xD cards vs CF cards

I'm looking at buying myself a new memory card. I've currently got a 2gb Fuji M series xD card. I'm looking at buying a Kingston Elite Pro 4gb CF card, that's an x133 card. How does the CF x133 compare to the xD in terms of write and read speeds?
 
CF Card will be faster and is acceptated in more card readers than XD, but i always tend to run my E-3 with both a 2GB XD and a 8GB CF.

Get the fastet CF card you can find, and your Oly will love you for it :D

Thanks Chris, so you can run both the xD and a CF card at once?
 
Ah great. And that's a luvverly camera you have there...everytime I go on WHX my wife confiscates my credit card after hearing me say how much I want one lol
 
One thing to note: If for any reason you power the camera up while your preferred card is in the reader the camera will automatically select the card type remaining in camera - logical. When refitting your preferred card you have to use the super control panel to reselect that type again. It seems obvious but I have before now spent a few minutes wondering why my freshly formatted 4GB CF card claims it can only store 60 pics (the 1GB XD card). Then I spend another 10 mins wondering why it took me so long to realise what I had done. I won't tell you what I spent my time thinking the second time I did it! :bonk:
