Xbox 360 newbie - share with me your hints and tips

Ok ok so I am really late to this party!!!

I picked up a mint Xbox 360 slim 250gb the other day for £60 and already I am smitten. As well as the game factor I want to be able to exploit the full potential of the machine.

Since acquiring it I have set up a live account, sync'd it to the PC over the network so I can use Windows Media Center for streaming my content and installed Xbox smartglass on my phone and tablet so I can use them as wireless remotes for menu hopping etc.

Is there anything else I should do or could make better.

Any hints and tips are greatly appreciated.

Battlefield 4 is pretty good.........

Played BF4 on the PC so probably won't buy it for xbox.

I am really enjoying Forza 4 though which can be seen from this driving selfie

I've purchased an xbox cheap after having a pa3 for years and so far not hugely impressed by the exclusives everyone raves about (halo and gears of war). Playing Forza but don't like the way it progresses compared to gran turismo.
