Anyway, so when you get up X-mas morning and everyone is opening gifts, do you have people pose? Do you have them move into the correct lighting? Do you make sure you have the right settings, pull out a light meter or ask people to wait to open their gifts until you are ready?

Or do you just snap away to capture the moment?

I leave the camera sitting on the shelf and enjoy the day and snap the odd one or tow with the compact

I ignore the fact that its christmas and enjoy a day with less traffic around

Camera usually stays in its bag on Xmas day, unless there's a new toy to play with. May take it to the stables though if the weather's right.

I have the P&S out ready, that way anybody, friends and family can just grab it and shoot when they want to. These usually bring the best photo's.

Being my first xmas with a DSLR, i shall be in everyones face snapping about! HOPEFULLY with a new nifty fifty, or 55-250mm IS!
