How accurate is this website? I checked my camera out of curiosity and it's coming up as 10,000 which averages 200 shots a week. I use my camera on average perhaps once a week but I'll be surprised if I take that many shots. Does anything else count towards the shutter count?

Use the following, to double check, your shutter count -

Remember, the shutter count is for everytime you've pressed the shutter, so will include photos you've deleted.

Do you use Liveview a lot - I believe that this fires the shutter multiple times per 'shot'. Also are you sure of the provenance of the camera.

As Milkfloat has suggested, liveview adds 3 shutter operations each time you use it to take a photo and adds 1 to the shutter count even if you just turn it on but don't take a picture.

10,000 shots to a camera is about the same as 10,000 km for a car. The end will almost certainly never come at 100,000 or whatever booklet says, it will probably be quite different. Please stop worrying about it.

Wasn't aware off that! I learn something new everyday.

As stated previously, don't worry about it, your camera will probably be obsolete before the shutter dies.
