Hi all,

Not by any means an insurance expert, but this premium seems well priced?

I need cover for in and out of the house, car, worldwide (30 days is fine)...

Anyone used them?

Any further advice about insurance? For instance, would I still be covered if stolen from a locked hotel room?

Cheers!
James

Thanks chaps, that's them off the lists.

Shame, Photoguard seem quite pricey...but better than not having a payout when you need one!

Cheers,
James

"Barge pole touch wouldn't" = E&L

Try Imaging Insurance, I've found them very easy to deal with so far and their policy matches real life.

Moos3h: I believe I saw Photoguard at the show yesterday. They might have a show special. If you're going today it might be worth checking them out.

One question to ask whichever insurance; if you have to claim for damage and they ask you to send them the broken kit for assessment who pays for the postage?

With Photoguard it's you :shake: - I've just had to pay £6.00 to post my broken 18-135mm to Coventry for them to see it's broken. OK I chose to sent it RMSD but I wanted to ensure they got it.

Having said that, all seems to be going well at the moment & I should have a decision repair / replace by Friday (fingers crossed) and if I had kit stolen from the car I would be covered provided it was in the boot and out of sight, plus I found their quote reasonably competitive against E&L
