Writing on textures...

I know theres a way to do this but not sure how...

Ive seen writing on shirts, skin etc, thats not actually there, but looks like it is...

I dont know if this is making any sense to anyone, but what I mean is that the shadowing suits the photo and say if the shirt is slightly creases so is the writing, like an actual shirt would do.
